Its Formula 1 enacted at its best - Bottom line don't Rush

This movie would be a treat to watch if you are a F1 fan, high drama , amazing covering of track and a special histroy of 1975 , 1976 race calender. The Movie unravels with a most devastating accident on track and gets back to 6 years, when the focused drivers Nicky and Hurt were just formula 3 racing rookies and both of them have high dream of making it into F1. Like any other business, F1 has all the basics and developments too. Even though it looks crazy and ceremonial, life of an formula 1 driver is like living on the Edge. There is always the high risk factor runs for a F1 driver than another profession on earth.
The screen play moves with two contrasting style of approach to the same field. Nicky, the more professional Austrian and Hurt the flamboyant Brit who loves fun, but both of them have the same goal of world championship in F1. This paves way to the fierce rivalry and the uncanny friendship grows between them. Eventually all are winners in life. The Movie insist the heroism, in give up for greater cause of family and life out of rase track which circles itself to succumb.
The film shoot of the movie might have been the hero of the movie. The camera is the one which amazed me the most. They enacted the crash with such profession and made it look real with great Technics.
Personnally, for me it is about the bonding between the the Ferrari car and Nicky, reminded me about my hero Schumacher and his bonding for the same brand.
A special mention about the Music. It is a moving score which was a big impact for the Movie.
A feel good action movie and it is different for a biopic.

Poetic Description of Chokher Bali

In Indian Cinema, Bengali movie are like precious and valuable crown. So many quality movies and directors evolved from this language. This movie 'Chokher Bali ' is one such movie taken with great care and distinction. Director Rituparno Gosh had made a valient effort to bring, Noble prize laureate Rabindranath Tagore's novel into a commercial feature film.The catch point of this movie is the casting with former Miss world, and stunning beauty Aiswarya rai. The plot has pre-independent India as back ground and  subject is feminism.
As a young widow Binodhni ( Aiswarya), a English educated woman, finds her way through the rough path of widow cruelty in Indian society. The plot begins with a family of two medicine educated, one adopted , wanting to make remarriage for their own son Mehindra. In such a fashion, he rejects Binodhni who was proposed by his mother. He gets married to another girl and they start a new life intimately. Binodhni who came in contact with Mehindra's mother accidentally, was invited to live in his house by his mother. Slowly Mehindra fall in love with Binodhni and they start a relationship secretly. But to the array of time, this relationship was revealed to his wife and who in fact allinate herself and go to Kasi to finish her life. Ironically she was caught in a situation where she realizes she has a baby in her womb.
Binodhni came to know about the place she went and followed her without her knowledge. Meantime Mehindra came to Kasi in search of Binodhni. How Binodhni ends her relationship with Mehindra and wants to live with his adopted brother is the story.
There are many eye opening scenes about Indian culture, one among them was, women were restrained to drink tea. How blouse for Indian women was introduced and how Indian women reacted towards it are few of the many points which was pondered in the plot. Apart from all Tagore's line on every human has flesh and blood need and how can that determinate a Chasity of a woman is the point to debate.
Another additional point is cinematography, it was excellently handled. The background of Indian independence and how it affected the social living of then society was also shown superbly. This movie had created the interest on Rabindranath Tagore's writing and think process.   I had decided to read the novel to compare the movie with its original plot. 

A clean white wash

I do not know why I have a liking for monologues Movies. Forest gump, Cast away, In to the wild and Gravity are the best examples on how the movies weight more on a character. Snowplow is one of the character and turns out to be hero's, everything in the end of the movie. 

The movie is narrated superbly to excite the audience and give a simple story of a life of unexpected. The Movie starts with an catastrophic  accident where the hero kills the co-star, due to poor visibility in a snowy evening of a ice filled Canadian town. The hero, who is driving the Snowplower decide to hide the accident and he immediately discards the body and dump it in a road side. In his default  action he removes the dead person purse and to his shock he finds that to be his friend ( Not exactly a friend but a close associate). The story evolves from the guilt and how the hero of the drama, whats to avoid being caught from the authority and how he eventually caught in his own guilt. 

The narration is very interesting as they had used the flash back and real time effectively. The lead man, Thomas Haden church, is the bad man of Spider man 3. Effectively it is also a villain based movie. His fight against his bad habit of drinking and driving, is also exhibited. 

After killing the man he discards the body and drives the snowplow in to a wilderness and started his living there. He finds the fuel to run his air conditioning and will wait for the spring and it will turn out to be a disaster to find that he has no escape form that place. Thus he get struck in the wilderness and getting sick of his own guilt is the end of the movie. 

The scene where co actor Marc Labrèche and hero where discussing about them-self before the tragic incident, is a great one and will make you feel sympathetic and defends his action of killing.This Movie has great sequel of survival in Ice covered land  and way life moves in those places is a eye opening experience. I sort of like the action in the movie as it was so real and exciting. 

It is a adventurous movie as it involves survival and travel.  

Dallas Buyers club - Innovative tragedy

As an Indian, living at the other side of the Holloywood, watching and following Movies could be limited to the Knowledge of available cinema in India. My fantasy on good movies made me write and maintain a blog to share with similar mind audience anywhere in the world.
This review would be rather irrelevant if I do not mention about the period the movie has as the  backdrop. It was the time when AIDS awareness was spreading among the public and what happened in dark rooms came to light because of this immune disease. The hero of the movie named Ron is a freak of a person who did drugs, sex and scandalous bull fight biding. The director does not ply to much on the past and the screen play moves on with fighting against AIDS as the thread. Being informed that he has the dread full illness, and he is counting his days to grave. Even though he abused the doctor and did not believe at first as he thought only homosexuality can case AIDS, later went through some informations from a information center and confirmed on the disease and what are all the other possible ways it can get affected. Thus the Movie moves on how Ron wanted to get medication desperately and methods he try to get the pills ( which was banned in US). He hit the riches when he did a expedition to Mexico and where he meets a doctor who was helping the AIDS affected persons. What initially looked like a quick killer disease, slowly started defying the doctors term of life and the hero started hitting his riches by getting a lot of pills ( improves ones immune )  and vitamin tablet as substitute. He bought a lot of pills and muscled it from Mexico to US and eventually convince the guards that his problem in his body need to be treated with the life saving pills, then he started selling it to the affected people.
Due to the demand he started a club and supplied Drugs only to the members. Ron meets a gay at hospital when he was admitted for a unexpected collapse. He become his partner in business and they grew in spiraling upward movement. This brought the irk of the authority and they started troubling him regularly.  His friends who deserted him knowing his disease, slowly accepted him and such one of them is a cop and his play in the movie is also significant.
Eventually, how Ron fights the authority, manages his relationship and how he becomes a hero of the affected community is the climax. This movie need to be appreciated in the real life story line movie category.  This movie has drugs and sex, so kindly avoid seeing it with your family. This issue of AIDS is still a debated and hot topic and that is why it made all the attention in the US media. In the end the US government legalize the drug what Ron introduced, comes as a surprise. The Movie also throw a glimpse on how other government deals with life saving drugs and how US government safe guard their commercial interest.
The Movie is a interesting movie to watch and it gives immense information on how life saving drugs need to fight against their opponents of pleasure drugs.   

Tenaliraman - Tamil Movie - A old story in new Narration

The tale of 'Tenali ' is like the Aesop tales, repeated so many times and enacted in various forms. Unlike the various options this one has a unique touch and looks like a fresh attempt. Except the movie resembles the actor vadivelu's previous flick named 23 am Pulikesi, we can not find any fault in the movie. Another period movie which brought back comedian Vadivelu after a long break from Kollywood. The relation between the Director Yuvaraj Dhayalan ,who assisted Chimbu Devan who directed Pulikesi  and the chosen film has clearly explains where this creation has been created.
Unlike 23rd Pulikesi, the stories ( enactment ) in the film  are all well known story which has evolved from flock lore to Film. These stories were enacted in Dramas, then print books , Puppets and various other street art entertainment. Thenali is synonyms with  wittty and humor. Like his counterpart Hojja of Nazruddin, this fictitious character has history on its own. As he is portrait as a minister in great Vijayanagara empire , who had a great assembly called as navarathanas ( nine stones ), symbolizing 9 precious stones of Indian mythology. Thus the story starts with a King and nine Ministers and how Naive the king is, who is gullible to his ministers. As one of the minister died of ageing they want to include a new minister and the news was spread among the kingdom. Several people came to attend the interview of king and his ministers. One of them was fixed as their candidates and they had trained him to answer their question. The plan is to bring a person who would listen to them and will not object their corruptive way of governance. But, unlike their plan Vadivelu ( as Thenali Raman - double act and the another one is king )  enter the Ministry with a bang. Literally  got the palace guard in fix with his intelligence and made him to get 100 whips for his misbehavior to the people who came for the interview.

Thus the movie starts with a bang and moves on with actor Meenakshi Dixit, acted as princess and the hero's love. But for her dressing she did an excellent job in the movie. All the other characters including the seasoned actors like Manobala, Radha Ravi are used more on the character than their individual styles. It was revealed that Thenali is from a rebellious group and  he came to Palace to kill the King. But coming to know it is not only the King and it is the navarathna ministers were the cause for all the bad plight of the Kingdom, Thenali decides not to kill the King but to help him to make the Kingdom better place.
The Story moves on with the envy of other ministers and their affiliation with Chinese traders. Thenali becomes the obstacle and they want to get rid of him. Thus the plot moves with the flare of witty Thenali negotiating the wicked ministers. And the Movie ends with the triumph of Thenali over the other Ministers and how he forms a new parliament.
The most intesting part of the movie is when the King was disguised and sent to be with public for few days and how Thenali and his friends tackled the Chinese army.
As usual Vedivelu has scored 10 out of 10 in his explicit style and grace in handling these type of characters. He is an actor par too excellent. It is only the story which is already familiar could not provide the thrill of the new narration. And that could be reason why it has not got a straight box office hit.
My review is not for Verdict but to encourage movie lovers to choose good movie. This is my taste and to taste we need to see the film by our-self.
